We currently have a need for Material Handlers at our facility in Elmira, ON. Material Handlers are responsible for receiving shipments, loading and unloading goods and machines, stocking material and emptying scrap bins as required. You may be operating a forklift and will be required to perform pre-use forklift inspections or doing manual material handling tasks. Basic Fabrication work as required.
You will have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A License to operate a Forklift an asset (Forklift experience required).
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic math skills.
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
- Good communication abilities.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards.
- A high energy level, a positive attitude and ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work well with others as a member of a team as well as independently.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
Shifts (multiple shifts available) non-rotating:
Days – Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Afternoons - Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Nights – Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm to 7:00 am
Shift Premium $0.80 Afternoons, $1.05 Nights
