Overview
Western Marble Granite & Tile Ltd. is seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to join our team in a unique, full-time position that supports every department of our business. This role combines shipping and receiving, deliveries and pickups, facility maintenance, and general operational support. No two days are the same.
We're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in keeping things organized, and is comfortable operating equipment, driving company vehicles, and helping wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, receive, and organize incoming and outgoing materials.
- Safely operate a forklift to move stone, tile, pallets, and other materials.
- Complete local deliveries and pickups using company trucks and trailers.
- Transport heavy materials, equipment, and supplies safely throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
- Pick up shop supplies, office supplies, showroom materials, parts, and equipment as required.
- Deliver materials between company locations, suppliers, job sites, and customers.
- Assist with inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness.
- Perform routine property and building maintenance, including minor repairs and general upkeep.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal duties such as snow removal, salting walkways, lawn care, and general property appearance.
- Ensure company vehicles, trailers, and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Equipment maintenance (forklift, trailers, skid steer, etc.)
- Parking lot and sidewalk snow clearing
- Assist the fabrication, installation, showroom, and office teams with various operational tasks as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and safe lifting procedures.
- Receiving courier packages and preparing outgoing shipments
- Maintaining company vehicles (fuel, washing, inspections)
- Moving displays and materials for the showroom
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's licence.
- Clean driver's abstract (required).
- Previous forklift operating experience.
- Experience towing trailers and transporting heavy loads safely.
- Comfortable driving pickup trucks with trailers throughout the city.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, facilities maintenance, or construction experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
