We are currently looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Interior Design Technologist to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with interior designers and project teams to develop and refine design solutions through technical drawings and specifications.
- Produce detailed construction drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications using design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Layout, etc.).
- Ensure design intent is accurately captured and maintained through the development of precise drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate design plans with architectural and building systems.
- Assist with material selections and sourcing, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project requirements.
- Review and analyze technical drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Prepare accurate, detailed schedules for furniture, finishes, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
- Perform site assessments and participate in on-site visits during construction to ensure the integrity of design and compliance with plans.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role in interior design, architectural technology, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Layout, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong technical knowledge of materials, construction processes, and building systems.
- Experience in developing detailed construction documentation and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create accurate and clear technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to project challenges in real-time.
