Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Labour to join one of our client at Ottawa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that support the operations of our facility. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The Laborer will work closely with other team members to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with the preparation of job sites for various projects as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a labor or construction role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
