We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Property Management and Commercial Real Estate sectors. This role is focused on building long-term relationships with property management firms, condominium management companies, facilities managers, healthcare organizations, hospitality groups, and commercial property owners throughout the GTA.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships, and positioning DKI - Toronto East as the preferred restoration and reconstruction partner for commercial and multifamily property stakeholders.
We are looking for a relationship-driven professional who is highly organized, self-motivated, and energized by building trusted partnerships that generate long-term business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies focused on Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Industrial sectors throughout the GTA.
- Build and maintain relationships with Property Managers, Condominium Managers, Facilities Managers, Asset Managers, Building Owners, and other key decision-makers.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Identify opportunities to secure preferred vendor status and long-term service agreements.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, Lunch & Learn sessions, educational seminars, and co-marketing events.
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for targeted accounts.
- Participate in industry associations, networking groups, trade shows, golf tournaments, and other business development activities.
- Represent DKI - Toronto East at industry events to increase brand awareness and create new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure exceptional client experiences and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all prospecting, client interactions, opportunities, and account activities within the company CRM.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the restoration and property management industries.
- Support company initiatives and contribute to overall business planning and growth strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales, business development, account management, or relationship management experience.
- Proven ability to generate new business and build long-term client relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and opportunities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to attend industry networking events and association functions, including occasional evening events.
Preferred
- Existing relationships within the Property Management, Condominium Management, Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Hospitality, or Industrial sectors.
- Experience selling services within one or more of the following industries:
- Disaster Restoration
- Construction

Success in This Role
Within your first 12 months, you will:
- Develop relationships with key GTA property management and commercial real estate organizations.
- Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Secure new referral partnerships and preferred vendor agreements.
- Generate measurable revenue growth for the organization.
- Strengthen DKI - Toronto East's position as a trusted restoration and reconstruction partner throughout the market.

- Competitive base salary of $85,000 per year
