We are seeking a highly motivated and product-curious Product Marketing Specialist to take ownership of how our products are brought to market. In this role you will be responsible for deeply understanding our products, translating technical details into compelling and accurate messaging, and ensuring consistency across all channels.
The ideal candidate is proactive, inquisitive, and driven to learn. They take ownership of processes end-to-end, challenge gaps in information, and actively seek to improve how we communicate product. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, connect cross-functional inputs into clear outputs, and are accountable for delivering high-quality work that supports the brand.
We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $70,000 to 83,000 annually, dependent on the experience level of the candidate. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Marketing
Product Expertise: Build a strong working knowledge of Mustang Survival products, technologies, and end-use applications. Actively seek to understand “why” behind product decisions, where they fit in our line plan and translate that into clear, accurate, and compelling messaging. You are the product champion for the marketing team.
Product Data Management (Salsify): Act as a key owner of product data within Salsify, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and readiness across all business channels. Proactively drive improvements in data quality and workflows and integrations with other platforms.
Product Data Ownership & Integrity: Own the end-to-end process of product information management; from initial intake to final delivery across all platforms. Proactively identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in product data and drive resolution with stakeholders.
Product Copy & Messaging: Develop and refine product copy that reflects brand standards while clearly communicating features, benefits, specs, and use cases. Ensure consistency and accuracy across all channels and continuously improve messaging based on feedback.
Product Communication Assets: Own the coordination and accuracy of all product-related assets (catalogues, web, price lists, packaging, technical documentation). Ensure all materials are aligned, up to date, and reflect the latest product positioning.
Cross-Functional Business Communication: Act as a central connector between Product, Marketing, and Sales, interpreting technical information and translating it into clear, consumer-facing outputs. Proactively engage stakeholders to clarify input and ensure alignment.
Sales Meeting: Lead the organization and execution of sales meetings, ensuring clear objectives, strong storytelling, and alignment across teams. Take ownership of agendas, materials, and overall delivery quality.
Seasonal Workbook Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of seasonal workbooks; from planning through execution; ensuring timelines are met, content is accurate, and outputs support business objectives.
Sea Gate Coordination (4 & 5): Drive consistency and quality across Sea Gate deliverables. Ensure presentations are aligned, complete, and reflect accurate product positioning. Proactively identify and resolve gaps ahead of reviews.
GTM Asset Center Ownership: Maintain and continuously improve the Asset Center as a reliable source of truth. Ensure assets are organized, current, and accessible for internal teams, agencies, and dealers.
GTM Deliverables: Develop and deliver high-quality GTM assets (flyers, data sheets, campaign materials) that clearly communicate product value and support sales success.
Stakeholder & Partner Support: Act as a trusted point contact for Sales, agencies, and dealers; providing timely, accurate, and solutions-oriented support.
Digital Content Coordination: Ensure product storytelling needs are met by proactively planning products that are required photo/video shoots, and ensuring all required assets are captured during the creative process.
Digital Learning Platform (ENDVR): Enhance the overall performance and participation in our digital training app ENDVR to improve education across store staff, reps and internal teams. You will be coordinating video shoots and preparing scripts that align with product positioning and messaging that is accurate and meaningful for viewers.
Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2-4 years’ experience in product marketing, product management, merchandising, or related role (outdoor/marine industry an asset)
Desire to drive improvements in data quality, processes, information and workflows.
Demonstrated curiosity and interest in learning technical products and end-use applications
Experience owning processes or projects end-to-end (not just supporting)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify gaps and solve problems proactively
Experience with Salsify or similar PXM/PIM platforms preferred
Proficiency in MS Office 365 and familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Wrike, Klaviyo, and Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
Willingness to travel for events, research, and stakeholder engagement
High level of personal accountability, initiative, and ownership mindset
