Summary
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Tour Guide to lead visitors through our Little Jamaica Music History Walking Tour in Toronto. This role is vital in sharing the stories of Black music heritage, fostering appreciation, and educating diverse audiences. Join us in our mission to preserve and promote this important part of history.
Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours for visitors, providing engaging narratives about Little Jamaica's music history and cultural significance.
- Foster an inclusive environment that welcomes diverse audiences.
- Answer questions and facilitate discussions to enhance visitor understanding.
- Manage tour schedules efficiently, ensuring timely experiences.
- Promote the organization’s mission through excellent customer service and storytelling.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in public speaking or guiding tours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Strong leadership and time management abilities.
- Passion for cultural heritage, history, or education.
- Prior experience working with diverse communities is preferred.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor.
- Teaching experience is advantageous.
