The City of Corner Brook is accepting applications for the Summer position of Tour Guide.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic individual that will assist passengers with boarding and exiting the Mill Whistler Train. The ideal candidate will provide information on the City of Corner Brook as well as the Mill Whistler and engage with passengers to ensure a memorable and positive experience. The Tour Guide will assist with special events assisting the division of Tourism when required. The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a friendly and approachable demeanor and have the ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
The successful applicant must meet the eligibility for funding under the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Applicants must be between 15 to 30 years of age at the start of employment. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. The successful candidate must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
