SB Simpson in Stratford is growing!
We are looking for a person to come in and hit the ground running!
Starting in the warehouse, you'll be picking, packing, and shipping various goods to our growing customer base. You'll also be travelling on the road filling vending machines, checking on site stock levels, and interacting with customers. Each day will be something new.
The ideal candidate will have a mixed skill set, with a keen eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a sense of ownership and pride in their work.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Deliveries to various local and out of town customers as needed throughout the week in our company vehicle on a daily/weekly basis
- Vehicle is a Ford Transit 250
- Daily packing of orders to be delivered on run next day
- General warehouse tasks such as picking orders, putting away stock, shipping & receiving as time permits
- Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) replenishment, including filling industrial vending machines
- Responsible for delivering product on-site to customers, managing their inventory (scanning & restocking), interacting with customers to ensure their needs are fulfilled
- Provide top-notch customer service with an added sales component of up-selling during visit
- Valid G license required and a CLEAN driving record; no AZ or DZ license required
- MUST be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Ideal candidate will excel in customer service and providing the highest customer experience to our clients
- This is not a part-time/occasional/retiree position
- This is an entry-level position where the ideal candidate will be provided with the opportunity to learn and grow within the organization.
- Downstream positions for the ideal candidate - Vending Specialist, Branch Support, Customer Service Representative, other positions throughout SB Simpson.
Position is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm, based on a 37.5hr work week.
Experience and knowledge that we're looking for:
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Customer service oriented.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Outlook and Excel being the most common to use.
- Database or enterprise software knowledge.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Punctual.
- Accountable.
- Self-motivated.
Bonus skills that set you apart:
- Ability export files and interpret data sets.
- Ability to perform basic Excel formulas (VLOOKUP, SUM, SUMIF, etc) and work with basic mathematical formulas.
- Experience with small electric motors.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Able to pivot your activities when new information becomes known.
