Job Description
- Assist with reconditioning and rebuilding internal combustion engines and related components
- Work within the guide-lines set out in the Associate Handbook, ISO9001:2015 initiatives and Quality policy
- Follow trade specific guide-lines (Automotive Machinist) pertaining to machining process through to assembly; under the direction of supervisor
- Communicate issues or concerns that stand in your way of completing your job responsibilities to your supervisor; as well as suggestions for improvement from yourself and the team unit
Required Certifications
- Automotive Machinist (AM) Trade Certification; plus trade apprenticeship certificate or junior technician status; or minimum 5 years working in trade
(or)
- MVM current certification (motor vehicle mechanic); plus AM Junior Technician status or 5 years working in trade
(or)
- ASE Master Machinist current certification; plus junior tech status completed. or 5 years working in trade
Qualifications
- Experience with precision machining, welding, balancing, disassembly, assembly, testing, and diagnostics using trade guidelines and protocols
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to understand and follow technical specification and schematic documentation or manuals
- Trade related equipment & product knowledge
- Self-motivated and able to work in team unit with minimum supervision
