The Highway Operations, Northern Region Branch of Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Assistant. This role provides administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch and the effective delivery of services.

Duties:
- Providing administrative and secretarial support for executive and senior management, including scheduling and meeting coordination, processing mail, receiving, screening and directing inquiries;
- Maintaining paper and electronic filing and tracking systems;
- Managing a high traffic inbox and moderating document version control;
- Formatting, editing and proofing documents.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience performing a range of administrative and clerical support duties within an office setting, including managing correspondence, preparing documents, scheduling and supporting meetings, and maintaining filing systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) or similar software applications.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner.
Desired:
- Experience using administrative or enterprise systems such as SAP, AIMS, SIMS, or similar tracking systems.
- Post-secondary education in an administrative or clerical support field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in French.
