This position will fulfill the role of a Mental Health Clinician providing Service within the Intensive Outpatient Program, Partial Hospitalization Program (IOP/PHP) and After Hours Clinic in the Mental Health and Addictions Portfolio.
Professional Attributes & Responsibilities:
- Experienced in leading/ co-leading DBT & CBT Skills groups
- Experienced providing individual counselling
- Experienced in Risk Assessments (self-harm, harm to others, suicidality, safety)
- Demonstrates commitment to hospital-based patient and family-centered care.
- Experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental health challenges
- Experienced completing comprehensive assessments and formulation to help inform treatment planning
- Takes initiative to tackle important issues, problems and tasks pro-actively
- Demonstrates flexibility and adapts to change and variety on the job (e.g., effectively perform job during unexpected situations or changing conditions)
- Possesses strong clinical, organizational and documentation skills
- Demonstrates commitment to best practice guidelines and quality improvement
- Commitment to the vision and goals of THP mental health strategic plan
Demonstrated awareness and a good understanding of the principles/protocols that govern health and safety issues

Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (preferred) in regulated health care profession (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Registered Psychotherapist ( authorized to practice independently ).
- Membership with professional college, in good standing and authorized to practice independently .
- Minimum five years of clinical experience working with individuals living with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Extensive training and experience providing time limited, evidenced based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
- Solid individual and group psychotherapy skills required and essential.
- Knowledgeable with data collection tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills combined with the ability to work independently as well as part of an inter-professional team
- Ability to prioritize competing demands, positive work and attendance record, required
Hospital based experience is considered an asset.
