This position offers field work, competitive compensation, daily overtime after 8 hours, Fly-In/Fly-Out transportation from Calgary or Edmonton, and camp accommodations provided while on shift.
What You'll Do
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on a wide variety of heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
- Conduct inspections, adjustments, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
- Repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding equipment.
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Test equipment to verify repairs and ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection documentation.
- Work safely while following company policies and industry best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide outstanding support to internal and external customers.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
- Journeyman/Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Experience using diagnostic software, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift heavy components and perform physically demanding work.
