Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Soccer Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of soccer fundamentals and a genuine passion for helping young athletes grow. In this role, you will be responsible for developing players’ technical skills, encouraging teamwork, and creating a fun, supportive environment that inspires a lifelong love for the game.
Duties
- Lead and support soccer training sessions for kids (ages 5–10)
- Create a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment
- Teach soccer fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Organize and lead practices, ensuring that all players are actively engaged and learning.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages respect, and inclusivity.
- Monitor player progress and adjust training methods as necessary to meet individual needs.
Skills
- Passion for working with children
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to commit to weekly sessions (afternoons and early evenings)
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players and parents.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
- Previous coaching or playing experience (BC Soccer coaching certification required)
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
