Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. Minimum 2 year experience. This is not a seasonal job. All long weekends and stat holidays off. We are a family run and operated business since 1989 and have long term employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, particularly with small engines. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Small Engine Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently. Own basic hand tools needed, specialty tools are supplied.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators, and other outdoor power and construction equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in small engine repair
- Electrical experience related to small engines is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
