We are looking for a professional, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic service team and help ensure that every guest receives premium care from the moment they arrive.
Position Overview
The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. This role is responsible for understanding customer concerns, coordinating vehicle service work, and communicating clearly with both technicians and customers to ensure a smooth and transparent service experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive at the service department.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service requests.
- Explain recommended maintenance and repair options in a clear, transparent, and customer-friendly manner.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding repair status, timelines, and costs.
- Ensure every customer feels valued, informed, and confident in the service they receive.
Service Coordination & Administration
- Prepare accurate repair orders and service documentation.
- Communicate efficiently with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure proper diagnosis.
- Review inspection results and prioritize recommended work.
- Obtain customer approval for additional work as needed.
- Coordinate vehicle pick-up, billing, and payment processes.
- Maintain OEM service standards as set by Volvo Cars.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure an organized and efficient workflow through the service department.
- Support the team in meeting service department performance goals.
- Stay current with Volvo vehicle technology, service programs, and product knowledge.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines within the dealership and manufacturer policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive role (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) is an asset.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Schedule;
8:00 - 5:30 Monday - Friday
Saturdays (on rotation with a 1/2 day Wednesday if Saturday is scheduled ) 9 - 1
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
