Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in automotive repair and maintenance under the guidance of experienced technicians. The successful candidate will assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicles, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist senior technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicle makes and models.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and communicate findings to the lead technician.
- Support heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as needed during repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance mechanical knowledge and technical skills related to automotive repair.
Experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge is required; familiarity with automotive systems is a plus.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively in a workshop setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Previous mechanic experience or coursework related to automotive technology is preferred but not mandatory.
