The PRM Wheelchair Services Coordinator is an accountable ATW position that will work under the direction of the FAS Management to ensure all aspects of the daily wheelchair operations are completed according to specific company policies and procedures. This includes but is not limited to; all client carriers as well as ad-hock charter customers. Safety, attention to detail, following company procedures, and teamwork are key components of the PRM Wheelchair Services Coordinator. They must possess verbal and written communication skills, be energetic, outgoing, understanding and accepting of change. They must also be flexible and able to deal with the adapting nature of aviation, including overnight callouts when required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports and track wheelchair usage and operational requirements.
- Coordinate daily with airline partners regarding flight schedules and passenger wheelchair requirements.
- Handle employee sick calls and operational staffing adjustments.
- Schedule employees to ensure adequate operational coverage.
- Assist with training and support of new hires.
- Delegate and oversee daily tasks.
- Assist passengers requiring wheelchair services in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Operate and understand wheelchair equipment, including the Eagle Lift.
- Follow all safe work procedures and safe lifting practices.
- Work in physically demanding environments and confined spaces when required.
- Ensure Sensitivity and professionalism when assisting passengers with disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Previous management or leadership experience required.
- Aviation experience considered a strong asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and assisting passengers safely.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and workplace safety standards.
