Job Overview
We are seeking a hard working and reliable Mechanic to join our Diamond Drilling Repair Team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining we will teach you about Hydraulics and heavy equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work in an incredible career in mining industry we have work both in town and out of town this would be a hybrid job with big incentives for out of town work.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on Diamond Drills and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, motors, and hydraulic systems
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed
Experience
- Some mechanical skills in automotive or trucking that we can teach heavy duty to.
- Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience operating power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently
- some experience as a mechanic if you know hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to maintaining high safety standards while ensuring operational efficiency. Candidates should possess some mechanical skills, familiarity with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Manitoba
