The Whispering Pines / Clinton Indian Band (WPCIB) is one of the seventeen bands within the Secwepemc territory. Traditionally from the Clinton area, WPCIB membership includes ancestral lineage from both the Pelltíq’t te Pésellkwes (People of the White Earth/ Kelly Lake) and Steke’7ús (People of the Little Hanging Bridge (Big Bar)). As a Band we are committed to serving our community and membership as well as building a future that upholds our Ancestral responsibilities.
The Maintenance Worker plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Capital, Housing, Infrastructure and Lands Department and provides maintenance, repair, and general upkeep services as needed. This position is casual on-call, hours of work will be based on operational demands, vacations, or absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building and property maintenance.
- Maintain grounds, including duties such as vegetation removal, and debris cleanup.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
- Keep accurate records of completed work and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- General knowledge of maintenance practices and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Capable of working in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
Pay: From $25.86 per hour
