Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and safety at all times. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
- Perform data entry tasks related to inventory and customer orders as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Sales experience is an advantage, particularly in upselling food items.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
