Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in residential & commercial settings, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, time management, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You’ll start and end your day at our office in Acton, where you’ll clock in, pick up your cleaning kit, and head out to client locations. Cleaners typically handle 1-4 jobs per day, with all scheduling managed through our app.
Responsibilities:
- Perform residential and commercial cleaning services following company standards and guidelines
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and other common areas
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Perform heavy lifting, such as moving furniture or equipment when needed
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client requests and concerns professionally
- Use power tools and hand tools occasionally to complete specialized cleaning tasks
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario driver's license (G2 or G level) and access to a reliable car
- Smartphone to manage work schedules via the Mop & Bubbles app
- Previous experience in residential/commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training is provided
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs up flights of stairs (e.g., cleaning equipment)
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and within the assigned timeframes
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Fluent in English
- Attention to detail and ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods
