Job description
- Currently seeking experienced DZ truck drivers for Tandem, Tandem roll off, Triaxle dump truck
- Spring/Summer/ Fall - Monday to Friday (start times can vary from 6:30am to 7:30am and finish times can vary from 4:00pm to 6:00pm)
- Saturdays (6:30 - noon) from April to October
- Winter - Year round work (some weekends and evenings during snow season depending on weather, guaranteed 40 hours weekly during winter season, no layoffs)
- All work is in town, no long hauls
- Deliver materials to and from job sites
- Operates vehicle in accordance with MTO (Ministry of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, provincial, and federal laws.
- Driver will navigate driveways, alleyways, parking lots, high traffic roadways, construction sites and may operate in tight overhead environments.
- Performs pre-trip & post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report).
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ Drivers License
- Clean drivers abstract (CVOR)
- Minimum 3 year’s dump truck driving experience.
- Knowledge of city roads and areas is an asset.
