Job Title: Red Seal Body Technician
Reports To: Collision Centre Manager
Location: Sydney Nova Scotia

Position Overview:
The Red Seal Body Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to
their original condition in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
The technician will assess damage, remove and replace parts, repair body panels, and ensure all
work meets high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect damaged vehicles and determine repair requirements.
Perform structural and non-structural repairs, including frame straightening, welding, and
panel replacement.
Remove, repair, or replace damaged body panels and components.
Prepare repaired surfaces for painting and refinishing.
Ensure alignment and fit of replaced parts to manufacturer specifications.
Follow OEM repair procedures and use appropriate tools and equipment.
Work collaboratively with estimators, painters, and other technicians.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
Provide quality control on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Red Seal Certification (Journeyperson Auto Body Technician).
Minimum [2] years of experience in auto body repair (apprenticeship experience
considered).
Strong understanding of vehicle construction, materials, and repair techniques.
Proficiency in MIG welding, panel alignment, and use of repair equipment.
Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and I-CAR standards is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
Shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
Requires standing, bending, and lifting throughout the workday.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
