Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and experienced Owner Operator Truck Drivers to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hauling freight safely and efficiently on long-haul routes throughout Canada and the United States, ensuring on-time deliveries and excellent customer service. This role offers the flexibility of operating your own vehicle while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Valid USA visa required for cross-border travel
- Clean driver's abstract and commitment to safe driving practices
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight on long-haul routes between Canada and the USA
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records
- Adhere to all transportation laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of commercial truck driving experience
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and transportation safety standards
- Previous owner operator or independent driver experience is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and maintain accurate documentation
- Experience with cross-border Canada/USA transportation is an asset
