We are seeking a passionate, certified, and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our aquatic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. This role plays a vital part in promoting water safety, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong love of swimming. Prior teaching experience and strong swimming proficiency are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons tailored to each student’s age, ability, and learning style
- Develop and implement lesson plans focused on water safety, stroke development, technique, and endurance
- Closely monitor students during lessons to ensure safety at all times
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to support student progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool environment before and after lessons
- Enforce all facility safety rules and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that promotes learning and enjoyment
Qualifications
- Current Swim Instructor certification (required)
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications (preferred)
- Previous swim instruction or related teaching experience preferred
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to effectively demonstrate techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess skill levels and adapt instruction to individual needs
- Patient, energetic, and enthusiastic about teaching water safety
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to safety protocols
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
