Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with attention to detail
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts when necessary for material handling
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and workspace organization
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or coatings
- Assist with assembly or machining processes as required within the manufacturing environment
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Qualifications
- Experience with painting in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with welding, machining, and assembly processes is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment such as cranes and forklifts
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and mixing ratios
- Knowledge of safety standards related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and workplace hazards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience with welding or mechanical assembly is advantageous but not mandatory
