Join our team! Our 15-year-old bakery is looking for a part-time baker and cake decorator to start in July. We are a supportive, friendly, team-based workplace.
You are:
- experienced in filling, crumb coating and decorating buttercream cakes
- able to bake and follow recipes; relevant education or work experience is nice but not necessary; we will train you!
- positive and excited to learn
- a problem solver!
- able to move quickly between tasks, prioritize tasks, follow lists and instructions
You will need to:
- open the bakery and work alone for short periods
- fill, mask and decorate basic cakes and help with custom decorating
- bake cupcakes, cookies, squares, cake layers; frost cupcakes with a piping bag
- help make batters, frostings, fillings, doughs
- fill and package orders
- help customers, answer the phone, take and record orders, handle cash and payments
- clean
- lift heavy things
- manage your time
- have fun! It *is* cake after all
Hours:
- Part Time- 15-20 hrs/week
- 5-7 hrs per shift
- Tuesdays-Saturdays between 8am-6pm
