Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth seating and service flow in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to handle guest interactions with warmth and efficiency. This role is vital in providing exceptional guest services and supporting the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus with enthusiasm
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover
- Handle guest inquiries politely via phone and in person, demonstrating good phone etiquette
- Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery
- Use POS systems such for reservations or seating management when necessary
- Assist with guest requests or special accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Assist in food running/table bussing
- Ability to be cross-trained on expo station where you would coordinated food running to servers
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good phone etiquette for managing reservations and guest inquiries
- Knowledge of food service operations or hotel experience is a plus but not required
- Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the establishment effectively
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
