Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Yard Wheel Loader and Forklift Operator to join our yard team. This role involves operating heavy machinery to efficiently move modular buildings, load and unload materials, and support operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform lifting safely. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount.
- Permanent, Full Time, Year round (no lay offs)
- One location: no site hopping
- Weekends off
- 8 hours min. per day with no site shut downs due to weather
Duties
- Operate yard wheel loader and forklift equipment to move, load, and unload materials and modular buildings within the warehouse and yard.
- Assist with order picking processes to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation
- Conduct lifting tasks safely, adhering to safety protocols
- Support inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining clear work areas
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to optimize operations and maintain workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklift, yard wheel loader, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order processing and inventory control
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and weights
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly
- Experience in order picking and warehouse distribution processes
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to operating heavy machinery and handling materials safely
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management and order fulfillment processes

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
