SUMMARY:
The Hype Team Member will work during Abbotsford Canucks home games and other events to promote the Abbotsford Canucks. This is a part-time, hourly, events-based position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Assist with in-game entertainment elements, including in-stand promotions and concourse activities
- Participate in live skits – act as a crowd plant. Acting skills are a bonus, not a necessity
- Interact with fans – start crowd chants, display energy and enthusiasm to our fans
- Provide on-ice assistance with set-up and execution of intermission contests as required
- Operate t-shirt cannons as required
- Opportunity to work community and other team events as required
- Other duties as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be available to work weekdays, weeknight, weekends, and holidays with varying start times as required by team schedule and operational demands
- Must be able to work at least 28 Abbotsford Canucks games
- Solid team player with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication skills, professional attitude and appearance
- Passion for hockey would be an asset
