Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional part time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans tailored to their needs
- Assist with patient examinations and prepare treatment rooms for procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Manage patient records efficiently, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks as necessary, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred, especially with pediatric or orthodontic patients
- Proficiency in Cleardent or other dental practice management software is highly desirable
- Experience with orthodontics procedures is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, medical terminology, and infection control standards
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and professionalism
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
