The position consists of teaching the Thai Language to highly motivated and engaged adult professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide language-intensive student-centered training to adult professionals using the Communicative Language Teaching Approach.
- Teach speaking, listening, comprehension, reading, and writing skills, as well as geopolitical, economic, cultural, and social issues, in an interactive immersion-based environment.
- Adhere to the provided training plan (curriculum), program standards, and objectives.
- Use technology and authentic & appropriate language resources to create a meaningful and varied learning experience.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers.
Minimum Competencies and Requirements:
- Be a highly qualified speaker of the Thai language.
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, languages, literature, foreign languages teaching, philology, or a related field.
- Have experience teaching the target language to adult learners.
- Be knowledgeable of Thailand's culture and society.
- Be proficient in either or both of Canada’s official languages (English or/and French).
- If the bachelor’s degree is not in linguistics, languages, literature, foreign languages teaching, or philology, have at least 500 hours of experience teaching the target language to adult learners.
- Be capable of using information & multimedia technology & tools, and mobile devices.
