AI Production Unit · Cineflix Productions
A Rare Opportunity to Build What’s Next in Production
Cineflix is launching a newly created AI Production Unit — a small, high-impact team rethinking how content gets made.
We’re looking for a Creative Technologist to be at the centre of this shift — someone who can turn ideas into production-ready visuals at speed, using the latest generative AI tools. This is not a research role. It’s about building, shipping, and shaping what AI-enabled production looks like on real shows.
If you’re excited by the idea of defining new creative workflows, influencing how AI is used across a global slate, and working directly with producers to bring ideas to life — this is that opportunity.
About the Role
You are the primary creator inside the AI Production Unit — the person generating image and video outputs, directing generative models, and translating creative intent into finished work quickly enough to keep pace with production.
You’ll work across a wide range of formats — from broadcast to digital originals — helping teams move from concept to execution in a single conversation. You’ll also help shape the systems, workflows, and standards that will define this Unit as it scales.
You’ll partner closely with an AI Compositor and lead the creative direction of the Unit’s output.
The salary range for this role is 120,000-140,000CAD
What You’ll Do
- Create high-quality visual content at production speed
Generate stills and motion content using the right tools for the job (ComfyUI, Runway, Kling, LTX, Luma, Midjourney, etc.), maintaining visual consistency across outputs.
- Run and evolve AI pipelines
Operate and adapt workflows (primarily ComfyUI), integrate new models, and troubleshoot under production timelines.
- Direct models toward creative intent
Build prompt libraries, LoRAs, and style systems that ensure consistency across episodes and projects.
- Work directly with producers and creatives
Turn briefs into executable outputs quickly, enabling rapid iteration and decision-making.
- Own creative quality
Set the bar for what ships. Lead selection, iteration, and final approvals with the AI Compositor.
- Ensure traceability and reproducibility
Maintain detailed generation logs to meet production, contractual, and insurance requirements.
- Own data and media management discipline Maintain clear deliverable specs, dependable backups, and consistent naming and folder structures across productions.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong creative or technical-art background (AI, VFX, CGI, motion, computational art)
- Hands-on experience with leading generative AI tools (ComfyUI, Runway, Midjourney, Kling, Luma, etc.)
- Experience working with or adapting AI pipelines in a production environment
- Work delivered to a real audience (broadcast, streaming, digital, or commercial)
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to reproducibility
- Calm, pragmatic, and reliable under deadline
- Working knowledge of post-production tools (Adobe, Resolve, After Effects, Nuke)
We don’t expect mastery of everything. Depth in one area, combined with strong capability across others, is exactly what makes someone successful in this role.
Nice to Have
- Pipeline or infrastructure design experience
- Experience running local AI models or GPU environments
Portfolio Expectations
- A reel demonstrating AI-generated work (image and/or video)
- Two short breakdowns explaining tools, workflow, and approach
- One example of a workflow (e.g., ComfyUI graph or equivalent)
