La Grotta Del Formaggio is a family-run business within Little Italy in Vancouver, BC since 1979. We are fast-paced, very busy, collaborative, and customer-centric. We sell top quality Italian grocery items and make fresh custom panini.
Responsibilities:
- Promote Italian food products
- Prepare and serve deli products, especially sandwiches and cold cuts
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist customers with their orders and provide excellent customer service
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills
- Receive and stock inventory as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
