Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team. This role involves supporting food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to support the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- Support meal assembly and plating for service periods
- Handle food safely and adhere to food handling protocols
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cashiering duties
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen workflow
- Assist with guest services, including serving meals and addressing customer inquiries
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support barista duties if required, including beverage preparation
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards guests
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
