Reporting to the Marketing Director(s), the Marketing Assistant, Summer Intern is responsible for assisting the organization in execution of corporate and local marketing initiatives across Retirement Residences. The primary responsibility is to work with the Marketing Director(s), Managers and Coordinators to ensure marketing initiatives are scheduled and executed, approved, tracked and deadline dates are met.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like :
Marketing Support
Assist in the implementation of local residence marketing initiatives, resulting in timely and flawless execution of marketing plans and materials.
Help to ensure media bookings and invoicing is accurately complete, resulting in timely accruals & payments.
Actively participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions
Assist in coordinating production of materials with vendors
Contribute to and assist in completing special projects as required
Assist in tracking campaign performance and recommend process improvements
Create dockets, document revisions and work with design team to complete revisions as required
Participate in planning the social media editorial calendar
Contribute to ideation and coordination of video content production
Monitor social trends and propose innovative ideas
Support the growth and engagement of online communities
Additional marketing support as required.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
A strong interest in marketing
Excellent writing skills and a strong sense of storytelling/copywriting
Good understanding of social media
Creativity, curiosity, and ability to propose new ideas
Autonomous, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from idea to execution
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfort working in a collaborative environment
Sensitivity to human-centered communication, largely aimed at retirees
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, or equivalent program
Adept at Microsoft Office, digital tools and social platforms
Hourly Wage: $20.00/hour
