Wind Whistle Landscaping
Wind Whistle Landscaping is a small, well-established landscaping and construction company based north of Toronto, with regular work throughout the GTA.
We are currently looking for a carpentry-minded construction worker / skilled labourer to join our crew.
This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable working with wood and enjoys building things carefully and properly. We do a mix of landscaping and outdoor construction, with a growing focus on projects such as decks, sheds, fences, garden structures, gates, screens, repairs, and general outdoor carpentry.
We are not necessarily looking for a master carpenter, but we are looking for someone who has a good eye, pays attention to detail, and can keep a strong, steady pace through the day.
We are looking for somebody who:
- Has experience working with wood, tools, framing, decks, fences, sheds, or similar projects
- Is detail oriented and takes pride in clean, accurate work
- Works at a good pace without rushing carelessly
- Is physically fit and comfortable with demanding outdoor work
- Has a positive attitude and works well with others
- Is proactive and motivated without needing constant direction
- Shows up consistently and on time
- Is reasonably calm, grounded, and focused on the work
- Is open to doing a variety of tasks depending on the project
Typical work may include:
- Building decks, sheds, fences, gates, screens, and garden structures
- Assisting with outdoor carpentry and small construction projects
- General handyman-style repairs and improvements
- Measuring, cutting, fastening, levelling, and finishing details
- Site setup, cleanup, and organization
- Occasional landscaping work, including planting, grading, garden installation, and moving materials
- Occasional stonework or patio assistance, depending on experience and project needs
Carpentry and wood-related skills are the main priority for this position. Experience with landscaping, gardens, stonework, or general repairs is a bonus, but not essential.
Pay Range:
- Strong labourer with some tool experience: approximately $22 to $27 per hour
- Solid construction or carpentry-minded worker: approximately $27 to $32 per hour
- Reliable mid-level person with strong pace, good judgment, and useful skills: potentially up to $35 per hour
Work Season:
Typically mid to late March through early to mid December, depending on weather and project flow.
