Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and related carpentry skills. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Flooring Installer will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, reading blueprints, and utilizing hand tools to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Install different types of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Prepare surfaces by measuring, cutting, leveling, and cleaning the work area prior to installation.
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, trowels, and caulking guns to perform installations effectively.
- Perform tile laying tasks with precision to meet design specifications.
- Apply caulking and sealants where necessary to ensure a finished look and prevent damage.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Experience
- Prior experience in flooring installation or construction is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in carpentry, tiling, and general construction work.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and basic carpentry skills such as framing or drywall work is advantageous.
- Experience with tile laying, caulking, and handyman tasks is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely.
