Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment to ensure guests receive timely and quality food service, whether in a restaurant, cafeteria, or catering setting. Previous experience in the food industry, including restaurant or hospitality experience, is highly valued. Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and delivering meals as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
- Replenish supplies and ensure all areas are stocked appropriately for service
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or packaging meals
- Handle cash register operations or point-of-sale transactions when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe environment for staff and customers
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to serve efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food preparation or barista skills is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if needed
- Basic understanding of hospitality standards and food industry practices
