We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Recruiter for a 12-month contract to support our talent acquisition efforts. This role will partner closely with hiring managers to attract, source, and hire top talent across a variety of positions. The successful candidate will be required to work from our Gananoque facility two days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days.
What Talent Acquisition contributes to Cardinal Health
Human Resources designs, implements and delivers human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, talent management, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, among others. This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.
Talent Acquisition attracts, identifies and acquires skilled labor to support business needs and develops strategies for growing the organization's talent pool. This family evaluates and screens talent using skills assessments, testing and reference checking, and manages internal and external job advertising and posting. This family also manages relationships with third party recruiting agencies, prospects talent at employment fairs and on campus at educational institutions and manages new employee induction.

Responsibilities
Execute full life cycle searches for manager level and below positions to include developing the search strategy, sourcing (including but not limited to proactive networking, internet searching, cold calling, resume mining, database searching, etc.), pre-screening and interviewing candidates to attract to the organization, develop and present recommendations on qualified candidates to hiring managers/internal clients, and offer design and negotiation
Proactively pipeline talent including designing, building and maintaining a strong and diverse network of potential candidates and utilize local and community resources
Gather competitive data, industry trends, and labor market conditions and translate these to successful search strategies
Assesses candidates through competency-based screening, ensuring only qualified candidates are referred
Persuasively sell organization, role, and local area to candidates
Create positive candidate experience through problem-resolution, immediate response to candidate's needs, and delivery of exceptional service to candidate

Support HR Business Partners with employee file maintenance, as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
Minimum 3-5 years’ recruiting experience in agency or corporate environment highly desired
Experience recruiting for operations, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities and high volume recruiting strongly preferred
Ability to successfully close passive candidates
Excellent client relationship skills, communicates proactively and consistently with hiring managers and candidates
Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR), preferred
Advanced Internet Recruiting Strategies (AIRS), preferred

May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Provide support with employee files as per HRBP guidelines
