Part-Time CNC Machinist – Weekend Shift
We are looking for experienced CNC machinists to join our weekend team. This role is ideal for journeyman machinists, apprentices, or experienced setup/operators looking for additional income and flexible part-time work.
This position supports both our milling and turning departments and may involve machine setup, programming, operation, inspection, and troubleshooting depending on experience level.
Schedule
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- 2:20 PM to 12:50 AM
- Must work a minimum of 2 out of 3 available shift days each weekend
- Must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month
- Additional shifts may be available based on workload
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Maintain quality standards and production targets
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Assist with continuous improvement and process optimization
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Apprentice or Journeyman Machinist
- Experience with CNC lathes, mills, or both
- Experience with Mazak, Mazatrol, Fanuc, or CAD/CAM software is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable and dependable attendance
