Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding transportation inquiries via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Manage transportation management systems (TMS) to schedule, track, and update freight shipments efficiently
- Analyze shipment data to identify delays or issues, proactively resolving problems to maintain supply chain integrity
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, verifying documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any transportation-related concerns
Skills
- Proficiency with transportation management systems for efficient data entry and tracking
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and freight logistics
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone etiquette focus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks using multi-line phone systems while maintaining accuracy in typing and data entry
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation verification and compliance standards
