Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and demonstrate proficiency in both low voltage and industrial electrical work. This role involves renovating existing electrical systems, building new installations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in automated systems.
- Renovate existing electrical installations to meet current codes and standards.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as a maintenance person when necessary to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, low voltage systems, and industrial electrician practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
