Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Junior CAD Technician/Operator (Apparel) to join its technical production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their apparel career who is looking to build specialized technical skills within a stable and growing company.
The successful candidate will support the technical department with apparel CAD operations, data entry, fabric measurements, marker making, and production-related tasks. This role involves a structured training process with long-term growth opportunities into advanced pattern modification and technical apparel development.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role best suited for someone who is patient, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in apparel manufacturing and garment technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter garment alteration data and production information into internal systems
- Create and manage customer orders within the CAD/production workflow
- Measure fabrics and verify measurement values accurately
- Assist with marker making and production preparation
- Support the technical and production teams with daily CAD-related tasks
- Learn apparel pattern modification processes through on-the-job training
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working on custom garment specifications
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure quality and fit standards are met
- Follow company procedures and quality standards throughout the production cycle
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Fashion, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, Pattern Making, or related field preferred
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Basic computer proficiency is required
- Experience with Gerber AccuMark or apparel CAD software is considered an asset but is not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn and commit to a long-term training process
- Interest in apparel craftsmanship, garment construction, and technical production

Working hours:
Mon to Thurs – 7:30am – 4:00pm
Friday – 7:30am – 3:00pm
