Senior Application System Analyst, Salesforce

As a Senior Application System Analyst, you will bring a customer-first mindset when resolving key issues and providing support to our Sobeys customers. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and driving improvements in our Salesforce Service Cloud, B2B Commerce Cloud, and NetZero cloud platforms within the IT Ecommerce and Shared Solutions Team Portfolio.
Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Senior Application System Analyst. This role can be based out of one our main offices including Calgary, AB; Mississauga, ON, Burnaby, BC.
Here’s what you’ll be focusing:
- Work within a multi-skilled team in charge of a portfolio of Service Cloud platform.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Salesforce Core Platform.
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud platform or B2B Commerce Cloud, mentor and lead the team(s) in translating business needs into enhancements and or fixes for the supported Salesforce application.
- Provide specialized Level 2 & 3 application support, including root cause analysis, triaging with teams, managing, and prioritizing product backlog, configuration/code changes, sourcing additional support, and maintaining system documentation.
- Monitor applications for end-user experience, interfaces, runtime exceptions, and performance, recommending enhancements as necessary.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes, or otherwise innovate on business operations using application features.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through advisory and consultative support. Proactively share new leading practices.
- Lead the entire development life cycle, including intake, design, build, testing, deployment, and release, ensuring that applications meet both business and architectural requirements while adhering to standards, patterns, and reference models.
- Direct the development of business and system requirements through detailed analysis, providing recommendations, and working closely with the Solution Architect, Sobeys development team to translate system requirements and lead high-level design.
- Participate in the leadership and influence cross-functional task forces or teams to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources, and system specifications.
- Act as a liaison between vendors, users, and the development team as needed, while keeping all relevant teams updated on product backlog status, incidents, and projects.
- Support project activities and deliverables as needed.
- Observe and communicate potential application risks and improvements in support of effective issue prevention and risk mitigation.

What you have to offer:
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related specialization or experience in Technology
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification is a must.
- Experience Cloud applications (Microsoft Azure), API development and / or system integrations is a plus.
- Experience in managing internal development teams, outsourced service providers and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate in a matrix organization.
- Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple product backlogs
- Previous experience in the retail industry is preferred.
- Project Management certification is a plus (e.g. CAPM, PMP, CSM)
