Job Description:
Marci’s Salads is looking for an Assistant Manager at our Uptown Saint John location. This position is best suited for someone energetic, creative, detail oriented, and interested in working with a Company that supports their interest in delicious whole foods, community engagement and sustainability. Our Assistant Manager will be key in helping build our brand and must be passionate about our values and vision. If you are a self-starter who strongly values collaboration, healthy living, and strives to positively impact people and the environment, then Marci’s is the place for you.
Responsibilities:
- Assume a leadership role in all aspects of managing the restaurant
- Ensure the highest standards in food quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Lead by example, while holding staff accountable for their performance and ensuring an excellent guest experience
- Create and manage employee schedules and monitor team member productivity
- Create a fun, supportive work environment
- Evaluate daily changes in production vs. sales and minimize waste
- Ensure the compliance with all related regulations, including Health & Safety and Food Handling
- Manage wholesale and catering order execution
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in restaurant environment necessary
- Prior experience managing people an asset
- Interest in nutrition and sustainability an asset
- Teamwork, leadership and good communication skills are required
- Kitchen experience (prep, recipe, assemblage and presentation) an asset
- Comfortable in fast-paced and continuously changing environments
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Food safety certification an asset
- First aid certification an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
