Housekeeping Associate - Seasonal Premium of $1.50/hr
Role Summary
At JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through thoughtful service and attention to detail. The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall condition of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in accordance with JW Marriott brand standards, as well as assisting in laundry, as needed.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring a comfortable, welcoming, and immaculate environment for our guests while contributing to the overall ambiance and reputation of the resort.
Accountabilities
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests from guests and other departments, demonstrating a service-focused and professional approach
- Prepare and stock housekeeping carts with required supplies and transport them to assigned work areas
- Enter guest rooms in accordance with established procedures, ensuring privacy, security, and confirmed vacancy prior to entry
- Replenish guest amenities and supplies to brand standards, ensuring consistency and attention to detail
- Replace soiled linens and terry with clean, well-presented items
- Make beds to JW Marriott standards and neatly fold and arrange terry items
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring a high level of hygiene and presentation
- Remove trash, soiled linens, and room service items in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect all guest room appliances and equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any deficiencies
- Arrange and straighten furniture, fixtures, and in-room amenities to maintain a polished and welcoming environment
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls, surfaces, and furnishings to uphold luxury presentation standards
- Vacuum carpets and maintain cleanliness of guest room floors and corridors
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, actively contributing to a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment
- Follow all environmental and sustainability policies and initiatives as required by the resort
- Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the overall success of the Housekeeping team
Requirements
- Previous resort or hospitality experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization throughout the shift
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
Working Conditions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods or for the duration of a shift
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs without assistance
