Piper Creek Pet Resort is located in the countryside just five minutes south of Red Deer. We are a family owned and operated business that has been serving Central Alberta for the last 19 years. Join our pet care team as a Pet Resort Kennel Attendant, where your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to providing exceptional care will shine! In this energetic role, you’ll be the friendly face ensuring our furry guests feel safe, comfortable, and loved. You’ll handle daily kennel duties, assist with pet activities, and maintain a clean, organized environment that promotes health and happiness for all animals. Customer service skills and ability to manage payments and bookings is essential. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on pets and their owners alike.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to pets staying at the resort, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed
- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
- Monitor pets’ behavior and well-being, reporting any concerns promptly
- Assist with exercise routines, playtime sessions, and socialization activities to promote mental stimulation and physical activity
- Ensure the safety of animals by following proper handling procedures and assisting with loading/unloading pets during check-in and check-out
- Prioritizing tasks for completion
- Administrative duties including phone calls, managing bookings and taking payments
- Maintain detailed records of pet care activities, behaviors, and any special instructions from owners
Requirements
- Passion for working with animals and providing compassionate care in a lively environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling supplies or pets
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced setting that requires active movement throughout the day
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude that fosters teamwork and excellent pet experiences
- Previous experience in pet care or customer service is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff
Qualifications:
- Must possess a High School Diploma.
- Valid Driver's License
- Pet First Aid or Handling Course is an asset but not required.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
