Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Duct Cleaner to join our team. This role involves cleaning and maintaining HVAC duct systems in commercial, mining and residential facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong cleaning skills, familiarity with various tools, and excellent customer service abilities. Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to thoroughly clean HVAC ducts and ventilation systems
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks related to ductwork and associated components
- Conduct commercial cleaning of duct systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Assist with the use of heavy lifting equipment to move and position duct components as needed
- Inspect ductwork for damage or blockages, and perform necessary repairs or report issues to supervisors
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to custodial standards during and after cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain services performed and address any questions or concerns
- Manage time efficiently to complete scheduled cleaning projects within designated timeframes
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment used in duct maintenance
- Experience in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, or custodial work is preferred
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and ductwork components is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of routine tasks
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and inspection of duct systems
Possessing a G2 Gas license and/or hood cleaning experience is considered a significant asset.
Must be willing to travel to remote/out of town work locations as needed.
Pay: $22.00-$32.00 per hour
